Bifidobacterium lactis can increase tumor-killing activity in vivo and thus be effective against cancerous tumors. Studies have shown its potential preventive effect against colitis-related cancer [1].
Bifidobacterium lactis is a powerful probiotic that breaks down waste in our bodies and helps absorb various minerals and vitamins during digestion. Digestive benefits of Lactobacillus include, but are not limited to, treating leaky gut, reducing the inflammatory effects of gluten on the intestinal lining of the small intestine, preventing celiac disease, possibly aiding lactose digestion in lactose intolerant individuals as well as aiding in the overall digestion of fiber, sugar and macronutrients. In addition to improving digestive health, it can also relieve Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms.
Bifidobacterium lactis not only improves digestive health and treats IBS symptoms, but also boosts immunity and lowers cholesterol levels. So it has been widely used in a variety of products, such as fermented milk (yogurt), infant formula and dietary supplements.
