Health Benefits

  • Regulate intestinal microbiota. Due to its probiotic properties, Lactobacillus reuteri can produce some substances to regulate the intestinal microbiota and remodel the commensal microbiota composition in the host.
  • Relieve inflammation. Lactobacillus reuteri may reduce the translocation of microorganisms from the intestinal lumen to tissues and thus ameliorate some inflammatory diseases, both in the gut and in remote tissues.
  • Boost the immune system. The host's immune system can be benefitted by Lactobacillus reuteri since it reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines while promoting the development and function of regulatory T cells [1].
